The complete privacy policy

Privacy policy

Small cues, shared days.

Neighbourloom is local-first. The following eighteen sections are reproduced from the canonical policy bundled in the Android app.

CANONICAL POLICY · EFFECTIVE 12 August 2026

This page contains the same eighteen numbered sections included in the Android app.

01Responsible entity, scope and effective date

Dannemora Gardens Residents Association Incorporated is the responsible publisher identified in Neighbourloom: Dannemora for Android, package nz.org.dannemoragardens.neighbourloom. This policy applies to version 1.0.0 of the installed app and is effective from 12 August 2026. A public support site may reproduce this same policy for people who need to read it without installing the app.

02Intended audience and support-person boundary

Neighbourloom is written for adults who live in, visit or support a shared retirement-community setting. An adult may choose a trusted support person for a conversation. The app is not a child-directed service, an adult-to-child communication channel, a resident-matching service or a substitute for a village operator's current procedures.

03Purpose and main functions

The app is a private editorial prompt book with twelve visual threads: Front Step, Shared Table, Garden Thread, Quiet Edge, Path Pair, Visitor Window, Weather Hem, Everyday Ready, Conversation Shuttle, Connection Loop, Rights & Voice and Closing Fold. It helps a person pause, notice shared-space courtesy, prepare a human conversation and leave a common setting ready. It is not a resident directory, booking tool, visitor register, maintenance system, complaint intake, voting tool, emergency channel or legal service.

04Data collected, transmitted and not collected

The installed app does not collect, transmit, upload or receive personal data. It has no Internet permission, server, account system or publisher-accessible database. It does not ask for a person's name, email, phone number, age, unit, resident identifier, visitor details, precise location, attendance, complaint, health information, image, audio, video or free-text note.

05Temporary interface state

Android may retain the currently open thread and panel as limited interface state while the activity is recreated or resumed. This state is used only to restore the screen, is not a resident record or history, is not sent anywhere and is not available to the publisher. The app does not build a usage profile.

06Sensitive information, resident records and notes

There is no field for sensitive information, medication, disability detail, support needs, safeguarding concern, dispute narrative, visitor log, household roster or free-text note. Do not use screenshots or external notes from the app as a case file. Take a real concern to the appropriate human operator, support person, official body or emergency service.

07Permissions and device access

Neighbourloom requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, storage, notification, Bluetooth, sensor or other dangerous runtime permission. It uses ordinary Android display and touch capabilities to show bundled text and images. The app does not access device files, photographs or messages.

08Accounts, login and deletion

The app has no account, login, membership credential, public profile or cloud identity. There is therefore no in-app account to close or recover. Village membership, occupation rights, visitor arrangements and any service account belong to the provider of the separate service actually used.

09Ads, analytics, tracking and third-party SDKs

The app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, behavioural tracking, telemetry, remote configuration, social-media SDK, crash-reporting service or data-collecting third-party software development kit. It does not create an advertising identifier or cross-app profile.

10Sharing, disclosure, sale and third parties

Because the installed app collects no personal data, it does not share, disclose, sell or rent personal data to the association, an operator, sponsors, advertisers, data brokers or other third parties. Information that a person chooses to provide outside the app is governed by the recipient's own terms and privacy practices.

11External sources and network behaviour

The guide itself works without a network connection. Source buttons may ask Android to open a browser to an official website. Neighbourloom does not load that page inside the app, read the result, submit a form or receive a reply. Users should confirm the destination and review its current content and privacy notice before relying on it.

12Retention

The publisher retains no personal data from the app because the app collects none. Limited interface state may remain only in Android's local application state until it is cleared or replaced. Browser history, email drafts and other material created in another app follow that app's provider and the user's own retention controls.

13Deletion, backup, restore and device transfer

A user can leave any thread, clear the app's Android data or uninstall Neighbourloom. Backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for this app. Clearing data or uninstalling removes app-managed interface state. There is no remote copy for the publisher to erase, and the app cannot delete material created in a browser or email client.

14Security measures and limits

The app reduces privacy exposure by operating locally, omitting accounts and sensitive input, requesting no dangerous permission and disabling backup and device transfer. No software or device is absolutely secure. Users should protect their device and avoid entering private information into an external service unless that service is appropriate for the matter.

15Adults, families and safeguarding

Neighbourloom is intended for adult residents and adult visitors or support people. It does not collect information from children and does not offer chat, direct messaging, public profiles, photo upload, attendance tracking, transport coordination or adult-child matching. Safeguarding questions belong with the current responsible adult, village/operator contact or official safeguarding pathway; urgent danger belongs with local emergency services.

16Community, safety, legal and professional limits

The app is general educational material. It is not medical, mental-health, accessibility-assessment, emergency, legal, financial, building, security or professional advice. It does not interpret an occupation-right agreement, decide whether a right was breached, certify an accessible route, monitor a resident or promise a response. Check current local instructions and qualified advice before acting.

17Policy changes and user choices

A later release may update this policy if the app's functions or legal obligations change. The effective date and version will be revised with a material change. A person may decline every external link and continue using the bundled guide. The public policy page should be checked against the version being distributed.

18Privacy contact

Privacy correspondence may be sent by post to: Dannemora Gardens Residents Association Incorporated, 30 Matarangi Road, East Tamaki, Auckland 2013, New Zealand. No association email address has been published in this policy because an email controlled by the publisher has not been confirmed. Do not include resident, health, safeguarding or dispute details in ordinary correspondence; use the appropriate current official procedure for those matters.
